Nature Club News

This year the nature club started with the celebration of Van Mahotsav in the first week of July, during the week there was a slogan competition organized for students of standard 6th, 7th and 8th. Also, there were videos and the songs put on every class channel stressing on the importance of tree plantation and a green environment. Given below are the results of the competition.

VAN MAHOTSAV WEEK CELEBRATION

Scouts of St. Stanislaus High School, Bandra of West Mumbai Suburban District celebrated VAN MAHOTSAV WEEK (1st July - 7th July) with their Scoutmaster (Mr. Elias Corriea) by Planting saplings at home in pots on their balcony, terrace, etc and by writing slogans in spite of the restrictions caused by the COVID - 19 pandemic.

A short film festival was organized by the Film & Media Club for the boys. The winners for the event were Devansh Thakkar and Tanish Jain. Cash prize and a certificate will be given to the winners when the school reopens.

Mask Bank

The National Planning Committee in its meeting held virtually online on 30th April 2020 took a unanimous decision that the Bharat Scouts and Guides will initiate a “Mask Bank” as a national call inviting all the Youth organizations and Self Help Groups to support the initiative of the Bharat Scouts and Guides. Each member had to prepare at least 10 masks and donate it in the 'Mask Bank'. St Stanislaus School provides migrant workers with shelter, food and a source of livelihood

Not only food and shelter but also relief and a source of livelihood is being provided to migrant workers and labourers for free at St Stanislaus School, Bandra. Following the recent incident of migrant workers gathering at Bandra station wanting to return to their homes, a shelter cum relief camp which is providing a source of livelihood has been set up at the school campus.
