Primary Appreciation Day

Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola 2024

The Feast of St. Ignatius was celebrated on the 30 th of July 2024 in the Primary section this year.

The boys were shown a video on the life of St. Ignatius and after discussing his life, the children were given an activity that they were encouraged to complete neatly. The students of standards 1 and 2 coloured a picture/sketch of St. Ignatius while those of standards 3 and 4 did an activity on generosity after reciting the prayer for generosity. Investiture Ceremony Program 2024 (Primary)

The investiture ceremony held on 5th July, 2024 in the school hall marked a significant event where leadership roles were bestowed upon deserving students of the primary section. Vanamahotsav Day 2024 (Primary)

Van Mahotsav, also known as the Forest Festival, is an annual celebration in India that promotes the importance of trees and forests in our lives. It is observed during the first week of July every year.

The Primary section celebrated the festival on 3rd July 2024. An assembly was conducted to raise awareness among the students about the festival, the importance of trees and what the children can do to save trees.

Appreciation Day

“Appreciation is a wonderful thing It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well” Keeping these significant words of the famous French philosopher and writer, Voltaire, in mind, the Primary Section of St. Stanislaus High School held it’s Appreciation Day on the 16th of September 2023 in the school hall.

The Feast of Saint Stanislaus Kostka and Children’s Day

The staff and students of St Stanislaus High School Primary Section ,celebrated the feast of St.Stanislaus Kostka and Children’s Day on the 4th of November with great thrill and enthusiasm.

The day began with the celebration of the Eucharist ,which was attended by the Catholic students of standard four and the teachers .This was followed by a funfair , organised by the PTA for all the students .

Farewell Tr. Jennifer

Tr Jennifer, the headmistress of St Stanislaus High School Primary section retired on 31stOctober '23. As a mark of our respect for her, a farewell program was organized. It started with a solemn mass wherein our boys and teachers sang hymns beautifully. A cultural programme was prepared for her by the teachers and boys who worked painstakingly as there was a time restriction. They put up a prayer dance, enacted a play, 'A Day in the life of Tr. Jennifer', sang songs, danced, viewed a power point presentation and made it a meaningful event.

Xavier House Feast (Primary)

The feast of St Francis Xavier is celebrated on the 3rd of December every year, however this feast was celebrated on the 4th of December in St. Stanislaus High School. The day began with the annual walking pilgrimage wherein boys from Std. V to X walked from school to Mount Mary Basilica in a prayerful manner. The pilgrimage culminated in celebration of the Holy Eucharist. As St. Francis Xavier is the patron of the blue house, the students of the primary section came to school at 11 am, wearing blue shirts or t-shirts. Museum on Wheels

The Museum on Wheels was started by the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya in Mumbai. It came to St. Stanislaus High School on 21st and 22nd August 2023. The theme of the museum was ‘In Tune: The Journey from Sound to Music.’ It was a good opportunity for our students to see and learn about various musical instruments like the sitar, tanpura, flute, tabla, harp etc.

English Elocution (Primary)

“From small beginnings come great things”.

The English Elocution Competition for the primary section was held in two categories. The first one was for standards 1 & 2 on 21st August and the other was for standards 3 & 4 on the 22nd August,2023. Prior to the finals there was an elimination round where all the students were invited to participate. This is done annually in an attempt to promote English speaking skills in terms of pronunciation, delivery, voice modulation and to deliver English in spoken form.
